About the Calathea Makoyana

This Calathea "Makoyana" is part of the prayer plant family. It is also known as a peacock plant. It's beautiful foliage makes for a stunning centerpiece in any living room or (larger) terrarium. This plant thrives on a humid environment. Some people even call it Cathedral Windows! The undersides of the leaves have a red hue and make for a great contrast with the main leaf markings ranging from a deep dark green to light green.
