Houd het vocht goed vast en ziet er fris uit. Hopelijk betekent het redding voor de orchidee met inmiddels zwaar uitgedunde wortels. Wat je ziet is wat ze heeft.
I bought the 30L big bag here and spent several hours every wee, during a month time, to clean it all, and saw 5 different kind of insects including lots of ants and even some spiders! I don’t like to kill insects, so I had to be very careful. The worst thing was that lots of patches of earth were in the moss as well… I don’t know if this is normal on the smaller packages but I guess you can’t get inexpensive moss without being full of debris and dirt in it.
I use a lot of moss and normally get the one from Chile off Amazon, which comes with lots of debris as well but it’s dry, and because I spend a lot of time cleaning it before using it, decided to try this one from Sybitanica. I expected it to be better due
to the good reviews but it’s not better in terms of debris and dirt. The moss seems to be of better quality but also seems to dry a bit faster and retain a bit less water than the one from Chile.
All in all, I don’t think I’ll be buying sphagnum moss again from here.

Perfect quality Spagnum moss
La Sphaigne prête à l'emploi offre une polyvalence remarquable. Je l'utilise aussi bien pour mes boutures qu'en mélange avec d'autres composants pour créer mon propre substrat. La couleur et les longues fibres, montre que la sphaigne est de qualité. Elle permet une grande rétention d'eau et ventilation optimale. Je suis d'autant plus ravie qu'elle soit récoltée localement de manière durable.
Voir avec le temps si la mousse reprend bien, mais arrivée fraiche et en bon état.
