Using the mix is easy! Start with removing as much of the old soil as possible. Gently squeeze the pot while holding it sideways to loosen up the plant. Run the roots under lukewarm tap water to remove the last pieces and bits.
Also, make sure to remove any dead foliage that may still be on the plant using scissors. Now your plant is ready for its fresh Orchid soil. Add a small layer of Orchid mix at the bottom of the pot.
Place the plant in the pot, and slowly add Orchid soil to the sides to fill it up. Make sure that the point where the roots meet the plant is just buried under the Orchid soil.
Lightly pat the Orchid mix down into the pot. Make sure to water the Orchid mix thoroughly after repotting, as this helps settle the mix and roots down.
This blend contains everything your orchid could be for. Orchids are a little different to most houseplants. As most orchids are epiphytes (plants that don't grow in soil) they prefer a substrate with lots of aeration and space.
To support this there is lots of orchid bark. The sphagnum moss helps retain humidity around the plant roots. Orchids will also do well in terrariums! The perfect general orchid mix.
Most orchids are found in tropical forests in Central America and South America. They have thick larger roots that need airflow and humidity to thrive.
While there are many types of orchids, we will outline a general care guide. Most orchids prefer bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight as it will scorch the leaves and flowers. Contrary to popular belief, orchids are pretty easy to care for.
Do note that if you decide to change up your mix, the more sphagnum there is, the less water it needs. Vice versa, the more bark, the more water it needs. Sphagnum holds onto the water for a longer period of time.

You can store SYBASoil for about 2 years. Make sure to store it cool, dark and closed off. The effectiveness of the nutrients can degrade over the years. Simply add some fresh worm castings to give the soil new life.
We recommend repotting once any of these things happen:
- You see roots growing out of the bottom of the pot
- The soil dries very quickly between watering
- The plant is top-heavy and wants to fall over
- Roots are pushing the plant up and out of the container
- Every 1 to 2 years

Ik heb nu al een deel van mijn planten in zijn nieuwe potgrond zitten. Ik moest toch even wachten om te kijken of ze tevreden zijn. En het resultaat is echt top! Ze zijn echt heel blij mee. Alles wat ik tot nu een verse potgrond gegeven heb ,geven mij nieuwe wortels en/of blaadjes. Kleinere maar ook volwassen orchideeën doen het heel goed tot nu!

super, aucun regret j'ai connu sybotanica sur youtube en suivant certaines youtubeuses fan de plantes, sur des sites de vente comme Etsy, qui parlaient de toutes sortes de terreaux géniaux et de très bonnes qualités, a force d'entendre parler de sybotanica, j'ai finis par venir voir, et commander, pas encore asse de recule mais les plantes rempotées avec leurs terreaux ce portent très bien, on voit que c'est un terreau de bonne qualité, je pense, c'est meme sur de continuer avec sybotanica, je suis ravie, merci a vous :) sylvie.

Sehr gut Erde Habe zwar meine Orchideen erst jetzt umgetopf und kann noch nichts zu ihrer Entwicklung sagen. Allerdings macht mir das Substrat einen besseren Eindruck als Orchideensubstrat aus dem Gartemarkt....es ist sogar Moos drin....toll!
'+++++ !' J'avoue : je n'ai pas (pas encore... ?) d'orchidée. J'utilise ce substrat mélangé à d'autres pour les monsteras, raphidophora tétrasperma panachés, syngo, etc. toutes plantes sensées pousser au pied des arbres sur lesquels elles prennent appui.

Quietly optimistic I bought the Orchid mix for an Odontoglossum which I had adopted and which was in very poor shape after having lost most leaves. After repotting and now two weeks further it seems to be settling down and starting to grow nicely with a new shoot developing. Subsequently also used for a mini Phalaenopsis which adjusted nicely to the new medium. I'll be back... 🙂
Great Mix I really love this orchid mix and found it super for my vanilla orchid which I repotted recently. I also used Sybotanica sphagnum moss for the moss pole. It is great quality stuff. Highly recommended.
Plant substraten voor orchideeën. Prachtige mengsel. Kweek orchideeën sinds 1999. Afhankelijk van soort, of ontwikkeling fase v/d orchidee kan dit mengsel met gemaak worden aangepast door toevoegen van ‘actieve kool pellets’ en ‘puimsteen’. De nieuwe vierkante plastic potten is een prachtig aanschaf geweest. Ben er bijzonder tevreden met geboden producten.

Sehr gutes Substrat Diese Orchideenerde ist sehr gut für Epiphyten die in Regenwälder auf Bäumen wachsen. Meine Pflanze hat sich erholt und gedeiht prächtig.

Exactly what I needed for my Macodes Petola This soil is exactly what I needed for my little Lightning Orchid. Initially I was hesitating because in the picture the soil looks quite chunky. I wondered whether my very small plant, in an equally small container, would even stand up right in a soil this coarse. Luckily the mix is a lot more refined than it appears in the picture, so no big wood chips that you have no use for. It's a good mix of both bark and sphagnum moss and my plant is loving it.
