The expert in soil
These hex self watering pots combine form and function in one striking shape. With a modern hex-square silhouette, a colorful upper body, and a fully transparent water reservoir base, they offer a stylish solution for anyone growing with SYBAStones Mineral Substrates or other hydro-based mediums.
Designed for efficient self-watering, these geometric hex pots use a rope wick to pull moisture from the lower reservoir into the substrate. That means your plants get steady hydration without ever sitting in stagnant water and you get more time between waterings, with less guesswork.
These hex substrate containers are best paired with materials like SYBAStones Mineral Substrates, clay balls, perlite, or pumice. They’re ideal for tropical plants that like even moisture, including Aroids, Anthuriums, Calatheas, and Alocasias. The wick system ensures consistent moisture delivery, while the top layer stays breathable and airy.
Not recommended for plants that prefer to dry out fully; for succulents, cacti, or dry-loving species, opt for a breathable pot paired with SYBASoil Houseplant Soil instead.
The clear bottom serves as a hex water reservoir pot, giving you a quick view of the water level without lifting or tilting. It also helps prevent overwatering and makes it easier to refill just when needed; no overflow, no soggy roots.
These modern hex planters look great on their own or styled with other angular pots for a bold, architectural vibe. The cream tone offers a soft contrast to foliage, while the transparent base adds an airy, clean finish. Use them to style your propagation stations, greenhouse rows, or high-humidity shelves.
Their small footprint and balanced proportions make them perfect for compact urban jungles, while their smart moisture system keeps things running smoothly.
At Sybotanica, we design tools that empower you to care for your plants with ease and confidence. These hexagonal water saving pots reflect that mission; blending clever hydration with clean design and eco-conscious materials.
Trusted by over thousands of plant lovers across Europe and beyond, Sybotanica continues to support the plant community with tools that simplify care, encourage growth, and fit beautifully into any home.

You can use a water reservoir pot with your hydro mix to create a semi-hydroponics set up. Most plants that love wet soils will appreciate this, such as aroids, calatheas, marantha, ficus, dieffenbachia, anthuriums and alocasias.
Both our SYBAStones and other hydro mediums such as clay balls, perlite and pumice work excellently with these pots. We do not recommend using our SYBASoils with our self watering pots, since the coconut coir in our soils can act as a sponge in this set up. It holds on to too much water, risking overwatering and root rot for your plants.
Yes, transplanting, watering and fertiliser can be very different from growing plants on soil. We recommend you to research if this method of growing is suitable for your specific plant.
You can place cuttings (grown in water) directly in our hydro mix. For established plants in soil we would recommend to remove the old soil, especially if you have had issues with fungus gnats, before transplanting in hydro mix. You can additionally choose to rinse the hydro mix before use, to get rid of any dust formed during transport.
Remove the bottom part of the pot from the water reservoir. Fill up the water reservoir with fresh water and pot the pot back together.
We recommend to use our Mineral Slow release fertilisers for your plants in a selfwatering pots. These fertilisers make sure to release its nutrients to your plants slowly over time, even in the hydro mix is consistently wet due to its coating.
